About Day of the Dead
Day of the Dead, or Día de Muertos, is a joyful celebration from Mexico where families remember and honor their loved ones who have passed away. It’s not a sad day, but a colorful one filled with parades, music, and special foods like pan de muerto and sugar skulls. People build beautiful altars, called *ofrendas*, decorated with marigolds, candles, and photos. It’s a way to keep memories alive and show love to those who are no longer with us, believing their spirits visit on this special day!
